Why L’Escalator
In May 2025, Zylio was admitted to L’Escalator. For a startup less than a year old, entering an incubator is not a formality: a committee read the project, questioned the founders and judged that the problem was worth attacking. The problem, in our case, is procurement management: thousands of supplier documents nobody can reread by hand, and variances that get through because nothing is looking at them.
L’Escalator has established itself as one of the reference incubators, notably thanks to the support of JCDecaux. What interested us was not the label, but access to business leaders who buy, sign framework contracts and know what a poorly checked invoice costs. Joining this ecosystem gives us the opportunity to accelerate product development and to confront its vision with buyers in their day-to-day roles.
What Zylio does, concretely
Zylio is a SaaS platform of AI agents that reads purchasing documents (quotes, price schedules, framework contracts, purchase orders, invoices) and confronts each line with what was negotiated. It serves companies and public bodies alike, for three uses:
- Analysing supplier quotes: putting several offers on a common basis so the comparison bears on equivalent lines, as described on our page about comparing supplier quotes.
- Controlling negotiated prices: checking that every invoice respects the rate, rebate and revision provided for in the contract, line by line. This is the subject of compliance with your negotiated prices.
- Documenting process compliance: every variance is shown with the contract clause and the invoice line side by side, and every analysis is traced, time-stamped and exportable.
We do not promise a result before looking at the data. On the scopes analysed, between 1 and 7% of margin can be recovered on the scope analysed, and teams get 15 to 45% of their time back, per FTE, depending on scope and data maturity. The top of these ranges is not a promise; it is an observed bound.
Our ambitions for 2025
Joining L’Escalator lets us approach 2025 with three precise workstreams.
Strengthen the product. The agents must read more formats, more contract structures, more languages, without traceability suffering: every extracted value stays linked to the exact place in the document where it was read. That work is done on customers’ documents, not in a laboratory.
Widen the network. L’Escalator’s ecosystem opens partnerships with companies that have exactly the document volume Zylio is built for, and access to integrators who will help us connect cleanly to the ERPs already in place, without modifying anything in them.
Be supported. The mentoring of Yazid Chir and the expertise of the L’Escalator team bring an outside view of our choices: which features to prioritise, which segments to serve first, how to structure a growing team. A fresh look is rarely comfortable, and that is why it is useful.
What does not change
This step does not alter the limits set on day one. Zylio does not touch the ERP: it reads what comes out of it. It commits nothing without human approval: it prepares the case, you decide. It contacts no supplier on your behalf, and no customer data is used to train a model. These rules are the condition for a procurement department to entrust its contracts to a tool.
Our vision
This step confirms the conviction on which Zylio was founded: artificial intelligence can transform procurement management, provided it gives teams control back rather than taking it away. We want a world where every euro spent is verified, and where the buyer decides on proof, not on trust. You can read where the team comes from and why it chose this particular problem.
If your organisation manages dozens of active suppliers and contracts running to thousands of lines, a call with an expert is enough to know whether a diagnostic on your data makes sense.
